AhlulBayt News Agency: Philippe Bolopion, executive director at Human Rights Watch, accused Israeli forces of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, stating that the organization has documented numerous crimes committed by the Israeli government against civilians.
In comments to Al Jazeera, Bolopion said the US government has failed to take meaningful steps to stop the atrocities in Gaza. He also noted that settler violence in the West Bank has reached unprecedented levels, leading to the displacement of refugee camp residents.
In a related development, Human Rights Watch previously stated that the Israeli government has obstructed the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their lands.
The organization stressed that the displacement of Palestinians continues, describing these actions as a crime against humanity committed by the Israeli government.
On the ground, medical sources reported that 24 civilians were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza since dawn today, in a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement.
These developments come as Israeli forces continue to breach the ceasefire deal reached with Hamas, which went into effect last October.
